Ostana is an ancient village located in the Po Valley, at around 1500 meters high right in front of the majestic Monviso, the stone king of the Alps. It had lost almost all its inhabitants during the Eighties, but then a forward-thinking mayor decided to change this trend and started working hard to bring new life to Ostana. Today this is one of the most famous experiments of mountain repopulation: a cultural center, a library, several accommodations for short and long stays, renovated houses, and a group of passionate people make the village a lively place to explore. We settled there for two weeks, becoming temporary inhabitants and enjoying every bit of the experience.

Remoto has exceeded my expectations. The great people, beautiful nature, and interesting activities have turned a simple working week into a shared enriching experience that I will remember with great affection.
A very positive experience, with great organization and atmosphere. I liked the possibility to work both outside and inside, which allowed for a mix of concentration and relaxation that was really good for my productivity.
